Decker Media a Finalist in the Nottinghamshire Company of the Year Award

Over the past 15 years, businesses throughout Nottinghamshire have been provided with a powerful and unique platform to promote their success through the Nottinghamshire Company of the Year Award.

Decker Media has entered the competition on several occasions, but this year was selected through to a shortlist of 4 finalists!!

Organised by the Nottingham Evening Post and sponsored by other prestigious companies that include KPMG, Nottinghamshire County Council, Powergen, Bland Bankart, The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Green Partnership, the awards and prizes given are without a doubt an exceptional achievement for any business.

The panel of judges were made up of representatives from the organisers and sponsors, and criteria companies had to demonstrate included exceptional growth both internally and within their industry, increased trading profit, new product/service development, new production techniques, staff training and commitment to Nottinghamshire, etc.

Following various site visits and company profiling, the Business Awards Presentation Dinner was upon us and attended by Managing Director Jayne Millen and Business Development Director Tracy May, who both founded the company back in October 1992.

Nobody is a loser in this type of recognition ceremony and the prizes awarded for the winning company were £5,000 worth of advisory work by KPMG, Free Export Trade Mission to a selected European Country, extensive publicity as the award winner and an exclusive trophy. The runners up received Free Export Trade Mission to a selected European Country, commemorative plaques and licence to use the award logo for promotional purposes.

Despite reaching the final four, Decker Media missed out on being the winner by a cat's whisker. "We've already proved our stamina and resilience within a highly competitive industry, operating among some really big players," said Tracy May, "The contracts we continue to win involve facing fierce competition and still our business continues to develop, you can be assured we will be back next year!"
